Man killed in New Jersey car accident

Every year, from one side of the country to the next, fatal accidents occur on the roadways. These accidents are often due to the negligence of one driver, such as when the person who causes the accident is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

According to New Jersey State police, a 49-year-old man was killed in a three vehicle accident on Interstate Route 287.

Police noted that a 25-year-old man was traveling north on the highway at approximately 2 a.m. when he struck the center median. As a result, his car veered across three lanes of traffic and hit into the right guard rail.

At this time, the 49-year-old man was driving north when his car struck the one driven by the 25-year-old. It was then that the older man got out of his vehicle, at which point he was struck by a third vehicle driven by a 59-year-old man.

Approximately 40 minutes after the accident, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's wife, along with two others involved in the accident, were taken to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries.

The 25-year-old man was charged with driving under the influence, with police noting that other charges are pending.

These types of fatal accidents are often the result of driver negligence. In this case, a man was driving under the influence when he crashed his vehicle, which resulted in the death of one man and injuries suffered by others. This accident could have been avoided had the man decided against driving drunk.
