DWI charges pending for driver

A woman involved in a deadly two-car crash in New Jersey on May 19 is facing charges for driving while intoxicated. The early morning wrongful death of a 21-year-old New Jersey taxi driver involved his taxi and the woman's Ford Escape. She and her 26-year old male passenger were seriously injured in the accident as well. All individuals involved in the incident were transported to the hospital.

None of the victims' identities have been released, and police did not provide details about the cause of the accident. However, DWI charges are pending for the 25-year-old driver of the Ford Escape.

Although there are not many details available to the public, police are able to investigate the incident so that appropriate charges can be made. As additional details are available, those representing the victims can make decisions about how to proceed with insurance claims and issues of loss.

A fatal accident creates a lot of stress for the relatives of the individual who has died. It's helpful to have the assistance of a legal professional who works with personal injury cases related to car accidents and fatalities. Dealing with insurance companies and obtaining appropriate compensation to cover funeral expenses, family obligations and other financial needs created because of the negligence of another driver can be frustrating. A trained professional may be able to alleviate additional pain by acting on behalf of the survivors of an accident victim. Similarly, an individual who has survived may need representation to address the pain and suffering resulting from the incident.
