4 vehicle accident in New Jersey injures 4

The roadways of New Jersey are known for being some of the most dangerous in the world, due in large part to the high number of vehicles as well as the speed at which people travel.

According to New Jersey State Police, four people were injured on the New Jersey Turnpike in a four-vehicle accident. A spokesman for the department said that the accident occurred at approximately 6 a.m. in Edison.

The same spokesman added that one of the victims was a woman confined to a wheelchair who was unable to escape her vehicle. He said, "The woman was extricated by people at the scene."

Overall, four people were injured, all of who were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, none of the four was killed and all are expected to survive.

At this time, authorities have yet to release any additional information on the New Jersey car accident, such as which party was at fault and how the event unfolded. The investigation in search of further details will continue.

As you drive through the state of New Jersey, hoping to remain safe, somebody around you could make a mistake. This could be the result of drunk driving, distracted driving or many other types of negligence.

If this happens, you, as well as many others, could be involved in an accident. Those who are injured in such an accident, one in which another driver is negligent, may wish to consult with an attorney at some point regarding his or her rights as an injured driver.
