2 killed, others injured in New Jersey car accident

There are vehicle accidents throughout the state of New Jersey every day, with most of these nothing more than minor fender benders or one car incidents in which the driver and passengers are uninjured. However, there are also fatal accidents in which one or more people are killed, along with others being injured. A recent two-car accident in Stafford Township killed two women while injuring many others.

According to a New Jersey state trooper, the accident occurred in the southbound travel lanes of the Garden State Parkway at 2:45 p.m. A Saturn sedan and a pickup truck were involved.

Two women in the front seat of the sedan were killed in the accident. Two children who were in the backseat were injured and taken by air to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for the treatment of injuries

There were two adults and two children in the pickup truck. All four of these people were transported to Southern Ocean Medical Center. It is believed that the woman suffered injuries in the accident, with the other three taken for observation.

Due to the nature of the accident, the southbound lanes of the parkway were closed. In addition to the fatal accident and state police crime teams, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office was on the scene.

These types of fatal accidents often occur on highways when two cars, both moving at high speeds, collide with one another in some manner. The victims in this accident, as well as the loved ones of the deceased, many find themselves considering their legal options moving forward.
