If you're driving carefully, then you should be safe on the roads, right? Unfortunately, you know that isn't true. Other drivers can be unpredictable and their negligence can cause car accidents that lead to pain and suffering. You can seek compensation for your injuries in many cases in New Jersey, helping you get back on your feet while you recover.
Your case could be similar to this one that took place on Route 65 in Pennsylvania, the same road that travels out of Newark, New Jersey. The accident involves a woman who was hit in her vehicle when a speeding car collided with her vehicle. Police had received reports about a silver Mercedes and red Camaro speeding along Route 65 at around 11:00 a.m., and shortly after was when the woman was hit. It's not clear why the police didn't get involved sooner with the reports that had come in, but they eventually had to get involved when the Mercedes crossed the line and hit the woman's gold Toyota.
The woman in the Toyota was injured in the crash. She was taken to a nearby hospital, and reports have said that she's expected to be fine. The driver of the Mercedes did cooperate, the reports state, and gave police a passport, his cellphones and cash.
The Pittsburgh Police reported that it was actually the driver of the red Camaro who was responsible for the crashes, despite the fact that the Mercedes was the one that hit the Toyota. The driver of the Camaro was taken into custody, the public safety information officer said, and all that is really known about the cause of the speeding is that something had taken place at the casino before the two speeding cars took off.
No charges have been named in this crash yet, but police may choose to charge either driver with a crime if they find evidence to do so. The news did not report what kinds of charges the men could be facing.
