Car accidents lead to 1 death in New Jersey

If you've been hurt in a crash with another person, then you know that the pain and suffering you have to bear can be extreme. Fortunately, if you're injured, you have the right to ask for compensation from the at-fault party to cover the damage done to your mind, body and possessions. Take for instance this horrible accident that took place in New Jersey. Three cars collided, and now one person is dead and four others have suffered injuries.

The June 13 story may sound familiar if you were injured in a rear-end collision. According to the news, the crash took place at around 6:16 a.m., when a vehicle rear-ended another at the toll booth near Exit 14C of the New Jersey Turnpike. A 45-year-old man who was a passenger in a Toyota was killed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 24-year-old man had been driving his Lincoln Town Car through the toll booth line when he hit the Toyota. The Toyota had not been moving at the time, but when the car was struck, it forced it to the left and through a cone median. There, the Toyota was struck by another vehicle.

The car accident resulted in a single death and four people being injured. According to the police, the four people who were injured had to be taken to the Jersey City Medical Center. Their injuries were reported as being non-life threatening.

Despite the fact that it appears that a driver's negligence led to an accident, the police have reported no charges, arrests or citations in relation to the accident. Those charges or citations could come later, since the accident is still under investigation.
